I am actually writing on behalf of my brother, Tommy. Tommy suffered from brain tumors all his life, and passed away 8/31/07. The last year there was nothing more that could be done to stop the tumor growth. My mom took care of Tommy's daily needs for eleven months; from bathing to feeding to dressing. The last three months of his life, Tommy lost his vision and most of his hearing and could not walk. My mom became his eyes, ears, and legs. She took him for daily walks in his wheelchair, she watched television with him and made him anything he wanted to eat. She stood by him from the first surgery he had at age six until he took his last breath.
