My husband Chris is my rock and my soulmate. When I was diagnosed with an agressive form of brain cancer (March 2003), he took an indefinite leave of absence from his career, at a time when his position at work was at its most critical, to care for me. He never failed, not one day, to drive our then-18-month-old son to see me in the hospital during my weeks of inpatient rehab; he insisted on driving me to and from every radiation treatment session; he accompanied me (and does to this day) to all of my numerous doctors' appointments for follow-up. I always knew that Chris loved me, but it really took something like being diagnosed with cancer and going through treatment and side effects to realize just how much someone truly cares for you and about you. Chris, thank you for giving me your strength and your courage when I could find none for myself. I love you with all of me.
