Art and I had been dating for 4 years when I was diagnosed with T1A breast cancer. He was my support. He was quick to research the treatments and over and over again we played the numbers game - 97% cure - picked a number and proved how good my chances were. I had two lumpectomies and a mastectomy followed by 8 months of weekly chemo and herceptin treatments. He took me every week and sat patiently while I slept. I will be forever grateful for his support and friendship.
