1. What is The Star Campaign™?
Launched in the spring of 2007, The Star Campaign™ is The Wellness Community's newest public awareness program. A national effort to honor family members, friends, health care professionals, social workers and others who provide support and care to cancer survivors, the campaign is designed to enable those affected by cancer to recognize and honor the galaxy of people - the Stars in their lives who have guided them through their cancer journey. In addition, every month, one Star and a cancer survivor will be highlighted on the site.
Honor the Star or Stars in your life.
Every Star will be featured on The Star Campaign™ Walk of Fame, a searchable portion of the site. Certificates honoring the Stars are downloadable for visitors to mail or email to their Stars.
2. Who can honor a Star and what is the process?
If you would like to honor the person or people in your life who have provided inspiring support during any phase of your cancer experience, please complete this simple form for submission to The Star Campaign™. It's quick, easy and free! Just provide us with some basic information about yourself and your Star, along with a brief synopsis telling us why you chose him or her. You can also upload a photo to be added with your story to the Star “Walk of Fame” page, where you can read about others who have been honored. Stories are searchable by last name – yours or your Star's.
A Star can be anyone - a doctor, nurse, social worker a family member or friend - who has provided support for you during your cancer experience. Honor someone as your Star!
